Laura Fowls, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Clinical Director, Buisiness Owner
Laura founded Eastside Therapy Services in 2014 after noticing a need for naturalistic, highly supportive and individualized services. The goal was to offer exceptional services to children and their families, with a business model that put client progress at the center. Eastside Therapy Services is now in its tenth year of operation!

As both a BCBA and Child Development Specialist, our program was developed with a unique and holistic approach to services. Laura received her Bachelors degree from Gonzaga University in 2008 with a focus on Psychology, Child Development, and Education. While completing her graduate work at the University of Washington Laura trained at the Haring Center's Experimental Education Unit focusing on direct early intervention for toddlers recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, inclusion practices and family centered services. While working within the research project "Toddler DATA Project" and the Infant and Toddler Early Intervention Program, Laura learned the foundations of quality and family centered therapy services and the benefits of a multidisciplinary and intensive team approach. Laura completed a Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education as well as the Applied Behavior Analysis Masters program. Laura then moved to a remote community and worked with a local tribe to apply for and receive a grant that funded a community based early intervention program. Laura worked closely with the tribal community to build a sustainable and effective intervention program that still operates today. After a few years Laura's family relocated to the Seattle area area and Laura spent the next ten years working within neurodevelopmental centers. This time was spent focusing on providing direct early intervention services, developmental evaluations, serving as an autism specialist, and leading parent education groups. Laura continued in this role with while initiating and eventually expanding Eastside Therapy Services.

As Clinical Director at ETS you can now find Laura executing the most recent evidence-based methods, serving clients directly, supporting the team at ETS and continuing to create dynamic, holistic and mindful pediatric therapy services. Outside of her role at ETS, Laura is a mom to four busy little ones. You can find Laura spending time with her family, gardening, caring for the family hobby farm, and enjoying the beautiful area we live in.

Jozie Crisafulli, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Senior Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Jozie joined Eastside Therapy Services after learning about the field of ABA and knowing this is exactly where she wanted to develop professionally. Throughout her years as a service provider, Jozie has worked with children with disabilities in a variety of settings and roles and has always loved being a direct support for children and families. Jozie became a BCBA after close to three years spent providing one-on-one and group therapy to clients. While in her graduate program Jozie trained under a variety of therapy models and approaches with a focus on working with pediatric patients in naturalistic settings through play based interventions. Along with being a BCBA, Jozie also holds a Bachelors degree in Speech and Language Sciences.

Away from her work you can find Jozie traveling and exploring with her friends and family. Jozie has a French Bulldog named Nash who makes the ultimate side kick!

JaNay Castaneda, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Senior Board Certified Behavior Analyst,
Director of ABA Services
JaNay joined Eastside Therapy Services after close to five years of working in both clinical, school and home settings providing ABA services to children from early childhood to adolescence. Her diverse experience has greatly added to our own clinical knowledge. JaNay completed her undergraduate studies locally at the University of Washington and then completed her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis through Ball State University. After her years of providing ABA in multiple settings, JaNay continues to enjoy serving children and their families in the school, home and community settings.
When she is not working JaNay enjoys time with her family, friends, and traveling.

Chih-Ying (Katie) Lin, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Senior Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Katie joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2022. She is originally from Taiwan and came to the United States about 10 years ago. Katie received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Washington and her Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Katie became BCBA in 2020. She is dedicated to working with families to help them understand their child’s abilities and teach them how to apply the principles of ABA in their daily life.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling around the world to explore the culture and the food.

Grania Buckley, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Grania is an experienced teacher who came to the field of ABA after knowing she wanted to find a way to individualize therapeutic practices for young children. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in German and Music, as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education, from the University of Nottingham in England. Grania has experience working with children of a wide variety of ages including high schoolers and babies and spent several years teaching music to young children before coming to the field of ABA. Originally from London, Grania now loves living near the trails and mountains with her husband and two children.
Grania completed her Masters Degree at the University of Washington, including clinical training at Seattle Childrens Autism Center. Grania is currently developing the animal therapy program at ETS and loves seeing the joy that the animals bring to the children and staff. Outside of work Grania loves spending time on the trails, listening to music and reading.

Emily Whelan, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Emily is a BCBA and experienced educator who began working at ETS in 2020. Prior to her career in Behavioral Therapy, she worked as a voice teacher and performer for 20 years, applying music and theater techniques to teach a wide variety of cognitive and social skills to children and adults throughout the world. She has lived abroad for much of her career, including long periods of time working in Australia and Asia, but is now thrilled to call the Pacific Northwest home. Since the birth of her three children, she has become increasingly passionate about designing developmental opportunities for younger learners, leading her to gain her Master’s Degree in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis in 2024.

Emily brings a creative and fun approach to our practice, along with a strong understanding of Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques and principles.

Waylon Wright, LABA
Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst
Waylon joined ETS in 2024, bringing three years of experience providing ABA services for children and adolescents across clinical, community, and home-based settings. After recently spending several years of leading marketing and business development efforts within the life sciences field, Waylon is excited to return to the field of ABA to help children make individually meaningful changes that improve their lives. Waylon completed his Bachelor's degree at Butler University and is currently completing his Masters of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Washington.
Outside of work, Waylon enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, playing games and guitar, cooking, and traveling.

Alex Seydow, M.A., M.S., CCC-SLP

Director of Speech and Language Pathology Services
Alex joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2023. After teaching academic English at universities in Minnesota for a decade, she decided it was time for a new challenge. She loves languages and working with children, so a career as a speech language pathologist was the perfect next step. Since completing her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders, she has worked in a variety of outpatient pediatric clinics. She has special interests in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), developmental language disorders, and play-based therapy approaches. Alex is multilingual and is passionate about supporting multicultural families.
Alex enjoys hiking, travelling, and spending time with her children.

Tayler Carlson,
Services Co-ordinator
Tayler Carlson is a proud fourth-generation Fall City native and mom of three. She serves as Vice President of Communications for her school’s PTSA. When she’s not volunteering, you can find her knitting, baking, reading, biking around town, or cheering on her kids from the sidelines at their many sports activities. Tayler loves being part of a community that has shaped her family for generations.

Mallorie Kiff, M.A., M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Beca joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2025. Originally from Miami, Florida, she is an English and Spanish speaking Speech-Language Pathologist who has been supporting children and families for over 10 years in both private practice and school settings. Beca earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State University and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida International University, where she focused on bilingual speech and language development.

Beca loves working with families to help each child grow in their speech, language, and feeding skills in ways that are fun and meaningful. She is trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding and is especially passionate about helping children expand the foods they accept and enjoy by using playful exploration and working on oral motor skill development, all at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for them.

When she’s not working, Beca enjoys spending time outdoors, reading great books, and playing board games with her husband and two kids.
Mallorie joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2024. Growing up in Northern California and later moving to Southern California, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Linguistics at UC Santa Barbara, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington. Before attending graduate school, Mallorie worked as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for two years in both outpatient and school settings. She earned a Master of Science in Medical Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington in 2023.
Mallorie has a strong background in multidisciplinary team collaboration and has special interests in feeding challenges and motor speech disorders. She has experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), gestalt language processing, and functional communication. Mallorie is dedicated to collaborating with families and other providers to support children holistically, ensuring their participation in everyday life.
In her free time, Mallorie enjoys traveling, hiking, and boxing.

Rachel was born and raised in Southern California, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from San Diego State University. She then moved to Washington in Summer of 2021 to begin her graduate school journey. She earned her Master’s degree from Eastern Washington University in May of 2023. Working with children has always been her passion, and her goal is to build connections and inspire confidence that is possible through support and encouragement.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys hiking, finding new food spots, and spending time with friends and family.
I am a Colorado native who moved to Washington to attend the University of Puget Sound for my undergraduate degree in Psychology. After undergrad, I worked in ABA and supported employment before starting my graduate career at Emerson College studying communication sciences and disorders. I am so excited to join ETS as a CF-SLP and continue working with children on communication and connecting with others. I have a passion for AAC and increasing awareness and acceptance of all forms of communication outside of therapy. In my free time I enjoy hiking with my fiancé and our dog, watching hockey, and reading.

Vivian Meng, M.A., LMHCA, CMHS

Vivian is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) with a background in both behavioral therapy and mental health counseling. She has experience working with children in school-based and clinical settings, including providing individual and group counseling under supervision in a court-affiliated program.

At Eastside Therapy Services, Vivian supports children in developing practical life skills and addressing emotional and behavioral challenges. Her clinical approach is strengths-based and developmentally informed, with a focus on supporting emotional regulation and overall
functioning.
She is passionate about contributing to the development of child-focused mental health services and continuing to grow within collaborative care settings.
Brittany joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2023. She is originally from California but has been living in the PNW and enjoying its beauty since 2016. Brittany received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Westmont College and has had several different jobs in the medical field including certified nursing assistant (CNA) and physical therapy aide before deciding to pursue Occupational Therapy. Her love of people and helping them reach their full potential is what drives her and what led her to become a COTA. She has a special love for children and the curiousity and joy that they bring to the world around them.

When she's not working, you can find Brittany enjoying the company of her husband and two cats Snowbell and Cozmo at home. She also enjoys gardening, sewing, making stained glass creations, singing, and playing boardgames.
Julia joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2021 to return to a more multidisciplinary practice setting and has worked in homes, schools, and outpatient pediatric settings. Julia received dual degrees in Biology and Psychology from University of Washington before receiving her MS in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and beginning her career in Philadelphia. Julia has experience in sensory processing, dysgraphia, ASD, ADHD and feeding therapy, among others.
In her free time, you can find Julia kickboxing, baking, or enjoying the great outdoors.

​Caroline is from Georgia, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science at Georgia Southern University. She then attended Augusta University, earning her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Caroline has always had a passion for working with children. Her goals are to encourage, inspire, and make a difference in as many children's and families lives as possible.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys spending time with her family (especially her two little nephews!), going to Mariners games, loving on her two dogs, and exploring Washington with her husband!
Lauren is a pediatric occupational therapist from Bellevue, Washington. She earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California, where she gained diverse clinical experience across early intervention, community health, inpatient psychiatry, skilled nursing, and research settings. After completing a three-month clinical rotation at ETS in summer 2024, Lauren is thrilled to return as an independent practitioner. She is passionate about family-centered care, child-led play, and incorporating outdoor exploration into therapy.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys reading, CrossFit, and paddleboarding.

Shannon Sullivan, M.S. ; OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Shannon is a pediatric occupational therapist who blends evidence-based practice with creativity, play, and neurodiversity-affirming care. She holds a master’s in occupational therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and a fine arts degree from the University of Kansas. With experience in outpatient and interdisciplinary settings, Shannon supports children in sensory integration, executive functioning, feeding, and self-regulation. Her approach is relationship-centered and strength-based, with training in SOS, AEIOU, iLS/SSP, reflex integration, and more. She draws on global teaching and caregiving experiences to create inclusive, responsive therapy spaces.

In her free time, Shannon enjoys making art, playing the drums, and spending time with loved ones.

Whitney is an occupational therapist with experience in hand therapy and orthopedic outpatient care, bringing a strong foundation in upper extremity function and movement to pediatric practice. She supports children in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and emotional regulation to enhance participation in daily activities.
Whitney provides client-centered, evidence-based care grounded in neuro-affirming principles, respecting each child’s unique strengths, differences, and ways of engaging with the world while promoting functional independence and overall development.
Outside of work, Whitney enjoys spending time with her friends and family, Muay Thai, snowboarding, and golf.

Isabella Garza, M.S. ; OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Isabella is an occupational therapist from San Antonio, Texas. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Studies and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Baylor University. Her clinical experience spans pediatric care, mental health, and orthopedic rehabilitation, allowing her to take a well-rounded, holistic approach to treatment.

She is excited to begin her career as an occupational therapist at Eastside Therapy Services, where she is committed to providing meaningful, family-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Outside of her professional work, Isabella enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. When she’s not chasing the sun, she also enjoys reading, spending time with family, and baking.
Erin Bell, CBT

Erin comes to ETS after realizing her true passion was to do something where she was able to give to others and make a difference in their lives. She comes from a background in the fitness industry and co-owning a small business with her husband. Erin's true passions are in the work she has done with children and young adults. For 10 years, she was a volunteer in her children's elementary school and also sat on the PTA Board as the Membership Chair for one year. She also assisted and coached Issaquah Youth Cheer where she worked with children from 3rd-8th grade.

Erin is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certified and has a vested interest in the mental health field. She also works on breathwork and empathy building in children with a goal of improving their quality of life in all life situations including school, work, and everyday interactions with peers.

Erin is married to her best friend, Greg, has 2 children and in her free time, she likes to spend time with her family, read, wine taste and go exploring!
Madison Goertz, CBT

Madison joined ETS as a Certified Behavior Therapist in 2020 after earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Washington. She is known for her ability to connect with clients in a fun and natural way, making therapy enjoyable and relationship-centered. With a background in youth programs before joining ETS, Madison’s creativity and experience shine through in her work. She has also broadened her role within the company, taking on the responsibilities of Intake Coordinator.

Outside of work, Madison enjoys growing flowers, running a small coffee cart business with her husband, and spending time outdoors with her two golden retrievers!


Nicole Pemsel, CBT

Nicole came to join us at Eastside Therapy Services after nearly a decade of working with and supporting children with disabilities. Nicole has worked in many elementary schools as a support person for children with a variety of needs. Nicole also provides disability education and awareness lessons to elementary aged children in their classrooms and is a passionate advocate for the inclusion of all children in their schools and community.
Nicole and her family love to enjoy the many adventures of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. You can often find them all camping, boating or playing outside rain or shine!
Kylene Pualani Tam-Hoy Ruark, CBT
Certified Behavior Therapist
Kylene joined ETS because of her deep love for children, especially preschool-aged children. She went to BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho and received her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Professional Preschool Education in 2003. She is currently a college student and taking classes in Family and Marriage Studies. Her goal is to earn her Bachelor’s Degree by 2023.
She has taught Preschool for many years as a teacher, worked at an Elementary School as an Assistant Aide and worked in Childcare Centers with children ages 6 weeks-12 year olds. She also helped in her daughter and son's co-op preschool.
In her free time, she goes on adventures to new places with her family. She loves thrifting, and going to Reggae or Hawaiian concerts!

Grace Stephens, CBT

Grace joined team ETS in 2020 after multiple years as a Behavioral Therapist in a school setting. Grace was searching for a setting with high levels of collaboration and support and she has been a wonderful addition to the team at ETS. Grace has experience with school-aged children and has a wonderful ability to target skills in a clear and natural way. Grace has experience in working in both home and school settings and is an experienced and thoughtful ABA provider.

Wendy Andersen, CBT

Wendy joined the ETS team with a strong passion for supporting young children and helping them reach their full potential. She brings a strong background in behavioral therapy, years of volunteer experience in preschool and elementary settings, and active involvement in her community. Her personal and professional experiences caring for and supporting individuals with diverse needs have shaped her dedication to ABA therapy, where she feels truly at home.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, walking her dogs, reading, paddle boarding, and attending concerts.

Max Simpkins, CBT

Max joined the ETS family ready to jump into a job where he could help young minds improve and grow. He has years of experience working with children of all ages through his emergency service background working as an EMT. He has also spent time working with children of many different backgrounds while working abroad at a children's international summer camp located in Croatia. He is excited to see where he can go with ABA services and support the progress and growth of his clients.

Cassandra has joined ETS team as an experienced ABA provider. After completing her Bachelors at the University of Washington, Cassandra wanted to continue her work as a Behavior Therapist and provide high quality services that best support her clients. Cassandra has experienced in working with children from all ages and backgrounds. She enjoys being able make therapy engaging and enjoyable! She completed her Masters Degree at the University of Washington,and working towards becoming a BCBA.

Ellie has years of experience working with children, having spent her summers throughout high school and college supporting kids of all ages in daycares and schools. She joined ETS in 2024 after earning her degree in Psychology from LMU, with a strong passion for helping others and a desire to grow within the field.
Outside of work, Ellie enjoys hiking, climbing, and unwinding with the occasional paint-by-number.
CJ have several years of hands-on childcare experience, including 3 years as an au pair, where he cared for children of various ages and needs. Much of his work has focused on supporting children with special needs, including developmental and behavioral challenges. He brings patience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to creating a safe, supportive environment that helps every child thrive.

Emma Larson, CBT

Emma joined our team in 2024, shortly before earning her Bachelor’s degree in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior from the University of Washington. She is continuing her education there while pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Emma is deeply committed to her professional growth and development, and she brings that dedication into her work by providing thoughtful, compassionate, and individualized care that supports the growth and success of the children she serves.
Outside of work and school, Emma loves spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking, enjoying the outdoors, or relaxing at home with her cat, Salem.

Rania Shin, CBT

Rain is a passionate baker and devoted child advocate who’s excited about a new chapter in her life. After graduating from UW Bothell and working as a UX designer in the tech world, she found her true joy in working with kids and making a difference. Now, she's looking forward to going back to school to study midwifery, combining her love for nurturing with her dream of supporting families during their most special moments.
Whether she's creating sweet treats or helping bring new life into the world, Rania is all about spreading kindness and making a positive impact.

Hailey Nuccitelli, CBT

Hailey has always had a deep passion for working with and supporting children and their families. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business, she quickly realized that her true calling lay outside of that field. With extensive experience as a childcare provider and classroom volunteer, Hailey sought a career that would allow her to blend her skills with her passion for helping children thrive. She found her perfect fit at Eastside Therapy Services, where she is able to make an impact on children’s learning and growth.

​Outside of her professional life, Hailey enjoys staying active, reading, trying out new recipes, eating good food, and spending quality time with her friends and family - especially her little nephew.

Arthur Williams, CBT

Arthur is a passionate and enthusiastic steward for children’s well-being. He has worked to earn his bachelors degree in Psychology from WSU and is also working towards a degree in History as well. He has worked for the past decade with children of various ages from as young as 5 to teenagers in middle school. He has gained a wealth of experience that he is excited to share as a BT. He loves reading, writing, board games hiking and ballet. He is a lifelong learner and is eager to help create a healthy, nurturing, and safe environment for children to grow, learn, and become the best they can be.

Jacinto Obrera CBT
Certified Behavior Therapist
Jacinto joined ETS in 2023 and has been a Certified Behavior Therapist since 2022. He has worked with children as an afterschool program instructor, summer camp counselor, and tutor since he himself was a teen. His work is driven by a belief in meeting children’s needs where they are needed and collaborating with families and other professionals to make as big of a difference as possible. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Seattle University and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Psychology also at Seattle University with intentions of becoming a Therapist in the future.

Brandi Moorman, CBT

Brandi joined Eastside Therapy Services in 2025. A lifelong Washington resident, she is passionate about the natural world, progressive childcare, and developmental psychology. She holds a bachelor’s in Health Counseling and Psychology and plans to pursue her Master’s in School Counseling in 2026.

With over six years of experience supporting children—as a behavioral health counselor, LEGO teacher, and behavior technician—Brandi is committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces for all children to thrive.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her partner and two cats, hiking, camping, and discovering new hobbies. She's also a fan of podcasts, audiobooks, and caring for her many plants.

Kelli Driskill, CBT
Certified Behavior Therapist
Kelli Driskill joined the ETS team with a deep commitment to working with children and supporting their development. She brings several years of experience in the ABA field and has worked in school settings with students from preschool through high school. With a background in psychology and communication, Kelli is currently pursuing her degree in Elementary and Special Education to further expand her impact in both clinical and educational environments.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawai‘i, she is also a proud mom to her daughter, Sienna, who continues to inspire her dedication to this work.

This is Pickles! This animal loves snuggling up with his favorite people, exploring, eating carrots, and stretching as far as he can for pets! Pickles is known to be especially lovey and cuddles up close when being held. Pickles also enjoys his romping time and is known to do some pretty spectacular jumps when racing around!
Olive

This is Olive! She loves lounging, cuddles, and likes to stay close to her friend Pickles. She is as lovey as bunnies come! Olive almost never says no to a fresh veggie, and loves indoor time when she can lounge on cozy rugs.

This therapy animal is a social butterfly, who quite literally can’t keep away from any attention anyone may be giving. She loves any and all snacks! There is nothing better to her than getting all the scratches and pets while someone feeds her some yummy leaves and grass. Glady, as she is most often called, may be a bit of an attention and snack hog, but her heart has softened towards sharing with her sister. Gladys' especially friendly nature has made her an especially big hit around here!

Our therapy goat, Fairy Princess, is a loving and nurturing little soul who is as gentle as they come. Her favorite things are people talking to her, back scratches, and just being surrounded by people who love her. Fairy Princess is a thoughtful and cautious individual, who like to observe and check things out before jumping in. Even with her snacks, they require lots of sniffing before she dives in. Her gentle nature makes her a great fit for therapy!

Michael joined Eastside Therapy Services during our initial business development. He has been in corporate finance for a few of the larger companies in the Seattle area for over a decade. Michael makes it possible for us to achieve our mission of providing exceptional services by exceptional staff, which requires paying staff at a significantly higher rate than the industry standard. Michael's financial planning and business management skills keep our business sound and growing and enable us to stand out as as an exceptional provider of therapy services.

Outside of work you can find Mike as a busy dad of little ones. Mike also enjoys wood working in his spare time!
