Speech and Language Pathology Assistant

 

Eastside Therapy Services is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Pathology Assistant to join our incredible team! Our team is committed to quality and meaningful therapy, and we’re excited to welcome a new member who shares our vision and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

  • Collect accurate data during therapy sessions and communicate client progress to the supervising SLP.

  • Collaborate with team members (SLPs, OTs, ABA therapists, educators, and caregivers) to support meaningful participation across environments.

  • Prepare therapy materials and create engaging, play-based activities that support treatment goals.

  • Find creative ways to make speech therapy fun, effective, and motivating for children.

  • Assist with caregiver education by demonstrating strategies and reinforcing home practice recommendations developed by the supervising SLP.

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the company's electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Participate in clinical meetings, team collaboration, and supervision sessions.

  • Follow all state regulations and ethical guidelines regarding the SLPA scope of practice.


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Hourly pay of of $30 - $35 an hour

Hours:

  • Part-Time (15 - 25 hours per week)

  • Monday - Friday Afternoons and Early Evenings (approximately 12pm - 5pm)


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Washington State.

  • First Aid/CPR Certified.

  • A natural team player who genuinely enjoys collaborating with others.

  • Passionate about helping children reach their communication potential.

  • Previous experience working in pediatric speech-language therapy preferred.

  • Experience with play-based, child-led intervention approaches.

  • Experience working with autistic children preferred but not required.

  • Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) preferred.

  • Interest or experience participating in social groups preferred but not required.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
